When I met Mimi in the mid-2000s, she told me she used to paint and wanted to get back into it. I told her about an idea that I had been working on for years which is a series of comic book characters kissing or crying. I had already collected over 200 comic book panels depicting as such. Mimi and I chose the original panels to start with and after a while she made it her own.

This particular painting is her single best painting ever.
